Hey you - Learn to cook

I know I am Posty Mc Posterson today but I just had to share another blog post I found.

First, some background. I cam across this blog just the other day at Frugal Veggie Mama (which by the way, if you haven't been over there yet - will you go already? Even if you aren't a vegetarian or a mom, you will learn something. I promise.) Ruthie posted a link, so of course I had to check it out. I. Am. Hooked. The name of the blog is The Reductionist, and I highly recommend that you check it out if you are even just a little interested in simplifying your life.

From her profile -
I'm a newlywed twenty-something embarking on a project to simplify my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE- from home to love to work and back again. Here goes.
Anyway, so the post I wanted to share was Ten Reasons You Should Learn To Cook. I am in no way saying that you should stop going to restaurants all together (if everyone did that, Marty would not have a job) but I am always amazed at how many people can't cook.

Mmmmm... ratatouille on the way to my oven.

If you don't know how to cook, my suggestion would be to get a good cookbook like The Betty Crocker Cookbook, The Good Housekeeping Cookbook, or even How to Cook Everything: The Basics and just cook. Or, you can always try a free, online cooking lesson.

By the way... the ratatouille recipe can be found here.

I agree-everyone should know the basics of cooking.
I'm always laughing at the holidays at those who can't throw a turkey/ham/chicken in the oven and roast it without going into a panic!I love the Thansgiving and Christmas cooking holiday seasons-fabulous!I taught myself to do it by doing-love cookbooks though! And if you have a mother/grandmother/older lady around you ask them for tips and their recipes!
